Martha Stanek is a supervisor at K2S. She is the chairwoman of the firm’s Quality Control and Inspection Committee, which is responsible for ensuring that all accounting and auditing engagements are performed in accordance with appropriate professional standards.
Martha received her BS in 1991 from the Pennsylvania State University, and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New York. She joined the firm in 1997 and is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Martha has conducted a variety of educational seminars, including one to explain how to read and understand financial statements.
Martha spent her first five years in public accounting in the New York, NY office of "Coopers and Lybrand"www.pwc.com. While at Coopers she was extensively involved in audit services provided in their Communications, Media and Entertainment Group, which included a significant number of nonprofit engagements.
Martha has served on the Young CPA Committee for the Erie Chapter of the PICPA. She was also the treasurer for the Erie County Diabetes Association. Martha is currently a member of the Gannondale finance committee.
